REVIEW ON ELF'S MINERAL INFUSED FACE PRIMER IN CLEAR

Hey dolls! Today my review is on the Elf's mineral Infused Face Primer. This is the first face primer I've ever used since I've started doing makeup. I was persuaded to purchase this after reading a review from my favorite makeup artist Krysta G who gave it high ratings.

I purchased it at Tres Belle Cosmetique for about $50tt. I must say it was an absolute great buy. This product worked amazing.

**THIS PRIMER GIVES A SATIN FINISH**
An absolutely gorgeous finish.

Skin type: Combination/Oily skin

PROS:
-You only need a little amount of product; one pump if product is quite enough.
-It leaves a smooth canvas for makeup application.
-It fills in fine lines and definitely hides pores.
-IT'S affordable

CONS:
-I became slightly oily in my T zone after about 4 hours.

After rubbing in the primer:

I definitely recommend you guys trying out this face primer. It's a great primer and does everything it supposed to do and best of all it's affordable and definitely worth the buy! :)

EMPTIES

Hey guys, I'm doing a blog on products that I've used and completely finished. I also going to share whether or not I'll be repurchasing products or trying new ones.
I will separately do reviews on each product (try my best lol). I will absolutely love to get your feedback on these products if you've used them.

  • HIMALAYA HERBALS GENTLE CLEANSING FACE WASH

I've recently decided to try this cleanser because of some other Himalaya products I've purchased. I found this cleanser to be quite ordinary, nothing stood out for me. My face didn't have that refreshed feeling after using this product. I don't have acne or anything to that sort, I have pretty good skin and it did maintain that but it's not a great product for me. I've tried other cleansers that worked pretty well for me.
I definitely will not be repurchasing this face cleanser. For me, it didn't work as good as I found it should.

  • ELF MINERAL INFUSED FACE PRIMER (CLEAR)

So today I'm adding a finished product to my empties blog. It's the Elf Mineral Infused Face Primer in Clear.

This primer is amazing! Works reall well, does everything a primer supposed to do.  This is the first primer I've used and I absolutely love it! It reduces appearance of pores and fills in fine lines, creates a smooth surface for my makeup application, dries to a satin finish, keeps my makeup intact and reduces the appearance of oils peering through my makeup. This is definitely a product I will repurchase, it's inexpensive and works pretty well.

  • SACHA'S BRUSH CLEANER

I must start of saying I've repurchased this produCT multiple times. I purchased this at Sacha's Image Center for $40TT. I absolutely love it. I get 4fl. Oz for $40tt while Elf's brush cleaner I once bought 3fl. Oz for $30tt. Price wise it's a better deal and the product works amazing! It cleans my brushes completely and the scent isn't a problem. Ive tried Elf's brush cleaner and the scent was kind of high. This is a product I've repurchased and will definitely continue to purchase. It's definitely a great buy!
UPDATE** sacha has raised their price of the brush cleaner to $55tt.

  • CLEAN AND CLEAR MAKEUP DISSOLVING FACIAL CLEANSING WIPES

Hey dolls, today i am adding another product in my empties. I purchased this at Pennywise for about $54.95. This is the Clean and Clear Makeup Dissolving Cleansing Wipes. These wipes work really really great in removing makeup and especially mascara which is usually hard to remove. It definitely does the job. I love it and definitely recommend you guys try it.

  • JOHNSON'S BABY SHAMPOO

I purchase a small bottle of this at Pennywise. I use this as a deep cleaning for my makeup brushes. It's really gentle and great to use on brushes and it does get all the makeup out. As for my beauty blender it doesn't work really great in removing all the makeup residue from it. Other than that it works great and definitely worth a try. :)

MILANI LIQUIF'EYE METALLIC EYE LINER PENCIL

I bought the Milani Liquif'eye pencil at Wonderful World. I bought it in 01 BLACK to use on the waterline.

I've used quite a bit of it and I found it to be a really great eyeliner.

PROS :

  • It's very soft, easy to use on the waterline
  • Very pigmented
  • Lasts all day
  • Not difficult to remove

CONS:

  • For me, it makes my eyes a little irritated and feel different. I'm not quite comfortable wearing it.
  • It's not retractable, you have to sharpen it, because of this I've lost quite a bit of the product if the point wasn't good enough.

The picture above is a swatch of the eyeliner and it's only one swipe and as you can see it's very pigmented.

This is definitely a great eyeliner to try out!
Let me know you guys thoughts on this! :)

SACHA COSMETICS LIQUID EYELINER

Sacha's liquid eyeliner is my ultimate favorite eyeliner! It's my holy grail. I know most people tend to prefer the gel liners but I'm one of the exception that loves liquid eyeliners.

This liquid liner works the best for me getting that winged out look. I use this on my upper lash line when doing makeup. It's perfect for that type of eyeliner!

I bought midnight (black) at the Sacha Image Center at Trincity Mall. This is the only shade I've purchased. There are three shades available: midnight (black), navy (blue) and Sable (brown). It can also be purchased at www.sachacosmetics.com
I'm currently on my second bottle of this eyeliner.

PROS:

  • Very pigmented
  • Last all day
  • The thin brush helps me achieve that perfect winged line
  • product is not too runny it has a nice consistency

CONS:

  • have to be careful not to mess up your eyelids. You have to give it a couple seconds for it to dry.
This does not dry to a MATTE finish.

In one swatch you can see how pigmented this eyeliner is.

I personally love love lovee this eyeliner.
I would definitely recommend It to those who prefer using the liquid eyeliners.

SACHA COSMETICS EYESHADOW PRIMER

Today's review is on the Sacha's eyeshadow primer. I believe it's the second eye primer I owned. I bought it at the Sacha Image Center at Trincity Mall.

It comes in different shades to match your skin tone. I'm the shade MATTE BEIGE.

This primer didn't really impress me. It has a kind of greasy look and feel to it. The thing I loved about it is that is was close to my skin colour but because of its horrible formula it couldn't be used as a neutral eyeshadow.

PROS:

  • It held on to the eyeshadows, definitely improved the pigmentation of my eyeshadows.
  • I love that it was a skintone colour primer.

CONS:

  • It creased horribly especially in humid weather.
  • It was not lightweight on my eyelids.
  • The eyeshadows wore out really quickly.
  • You must set it as soon as the put the primer on.

This was one of the worst eye primers I've ever used. I definitely don't recommend this product.

REVLON PHOTOREADY EYE PRIMER +BRIGHTENER

Hey guys! Today I'm reviewing the Revlon's Photoready Eye Primer + Brightener. This is the first eye primer I ever tried and I bought it at Pennywise for I think $54.95, again not too sure of the pricing.

The consistency of this eye primer is thin and it has a pinkish neutral color to it and it also has a brush applicator. I've never used this as an eye brightener as it definitely would not suite my skintone.

As I'm living in a Trinidad and we only two seasons rainy and dry season, this worked not so great for a primer.

PROS:

  • -It was lightweight and had a thin consistency.
  • -Improved the pigmentation of my eyeshadows.
  • -Prolonged the wear of my eyeshadows.

CONS:

  • -My eyeshadows still creased( minimal in cool weather and a lot in hot weather)
  • -My lids started looking oily throughout half of the day.

The last picture is a swatch of the primer and as you can see it's a slightly white with a hint of pink.

I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND buying this eye primer, I'm still on the search for that eye primer that would last throughout the day.

SKIN CARE ROUTINE AND PRODUCTS

Hi everyone, I'm doing this blog today because of some characters who work at beauty stores and give wrong information to their customers. Yes! I'm been a victim of this but luckily I knew for myself the correct thing that should be done.

You MUST cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin twice a day, preferably morning and night.

  • The cleanser is used first to remove any makeup you're wearing, dirt, oil etc. From your face.

Some cleansing products I've used are:

-Clean and Clear Morning burst facial cleanser (orange coloured one), morning burst Shine Control (green colour), morning burst Brightening Facial Cleanser (yellow colour), Essentials Foaming facial cleanser sensitive skin and I'm currntly using Himalaya herbals gentle face wash.

  • Next step is to tone your face and neck which removes any other dirt, oil and makeup from your face, tightens pores etc. Using toners with a high percentage of alcohol should be forbidden since it can remove the necessary moisture from your face (especially people with dry skin).

There is only one toner I use and absolutely love it! The alcohol content is not high, it's Olay oil minimizing toner with witch hazel.

  • Lastly, you moisturize your face and neck. This step help keeps your skin soft and hydrated. It is recommended that during the day you wear a moisturizer with an SPF to protect your skin from the sun and at night other moisturizers can be used.

BB Creams can also be used during the day, this is a tinted moisturizer with SPF protection.

The products I use are:
-DAY MOISTURIZER: OLAY complete daily defense all day moisturizer with sunscreen SPF 30.

-BB CREAM: Garnier skin renew miracle skin perfector SPF 15 in the shade Medium/Deep.

-NIGHT MOISTURIZER: night of Olay. Mines is entitled firming cream lol, I don't need this as yet (the girl at Pennywise gave me the wrong one).

Here are pictures of the products I currently use:

MOST IMPORTANTLY: it is recommended that you drink lots of water, this is very essential to maintain great looking skin and also keeps your skin hydrated and prevent it from drying out.

NYX RETRACTABLE EYELINER IN BLACK

Hi everyone! This is my first blog I'm ever doing so please excuse me if it's not great. I'm still getting the hang of it and I would love your feedback of your experience with these products and your recommendations.

I've been using this eyeliner for a very long time. It has become my HG! It never disappoints me when I wear it. I bought it at the NYX KIOSK at Trincity Mall. I can't recall the exact price of it but it's around $29 TT I think.

PROS:

  • -Glides on smoothly on my waterline doesn't irritate my eyes at all.
  • -It does NOT transfer below my lower lash line making me look like I just got hit in the face.
  • -It's inexpensive.
  • -It's pigmentation lasts throughout the day. I hardly ever see it faded.

CONS:

  • -For me the rich black pigmentation doesn't happen on the first swipe.
  • -It is a little tough to get off, using cleanser doesn't get mines off I have to use face wipes to get it off.

The swatch I did was one swipe and as you can see its very pigmented. Just for me on the eyes I need two swipes. Overall I love this eyeliner it's the best I tried so far, would definitely recommend this eyeliner!
