REVLON PHOTOREADY EYE PRIMER +BRIGHTENER

Hey guys! Today I'm reviewing the Revlon's Photoready Eye Primer + Brightener. This is the first eye primer I ever tried and I bought it at Pennywise for I think $54.95, again not too sure of the pricing.

The consistency of this eye primer is thin and it has a pinkish neutral color to it and it also has a brush applicator. I've never used this as an eye brightener as it definitely would not suite my skintone.

As I'm living in a Trinidad and we only two seasons rainy and dry season, this worked not so great for a primer.

PROS:

  • -It was lightweight and had a thin consistency.
  • -Improved the pigmentation of my eyeshadows.
  • -Prolonged the wear of my eyeshadows.

CONS:

  • -My eyeshadows still creased( minimal in cool weather and a lot in hot weather)
  • -My lids started looking oily throughout half of the day.

The last picture is a swatch of the primer and as you can see it's a slightly white with a hint of pink.

I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND buying this eye primer, I'm still on the search for that eye primer that would last throughout the day.

SKIN CARE ROUTINE AND PRODUCTS

Hi everyone, I'm doing this blog today because of some characters who work at beauty stores and give wrong information to their customers. Yes! I'm been a victim of this but luckily I knew for myself the correct thing that should be done.

You MUST cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin twice a day, preferably morning and night.

  • The cleanser is used first to remove any makeup you're wearing, dirt, oil etc. From your face.

Some cleansing products I've used are:

-Clean and Clear Morning burst facial cleanser (orange coloured one), morning burst Shine Control (green colour), morning burst Brightening Facial Cleanser (yellow colour), Essentials Foaming facial cleanser sensitive skin and I'm currntly using Himalaya herbals gentle face wash.

  • Next step is to tone your face and neck which removes any other dirt, oil and makeup from your face, tightens pores etc. Using toners with a high percentage of alcohol should be forbidden since it can remove the necessary moisture from your face (especially people with dry skin).

There is only one toner I use and absolutely love it! The alcohol content is not high, it's Olay oil minimizing toner with witch hazel.

  • Lastly, you moisturize your face and neck. This step help keeps your skin soft and hydrated. It is recommended that during the day you wear a moisturizer with an SPF to protect your skin from the sun and at night other moisturizers can be used.

BB Creams can also be used during the day, this is a tinted moisturizer with SPF protection.

The products I use are:
-DAY MOISTURIZER: OLAY complete daily defense all day moisturizer with sunscreen SPF 30.

-BB CREAM: Garnier skin renew miracle skin perfector SPF 15 in the shade Medium/Deep.

-NIGHT MOISTURIZER: night of Olay. Mines is entitled firming cream lol, I don't need this as yet (the girl at Pennywise gave me the wrong one).

Here are pictures of the products I currently use:

MOST IMPORTANTLY: it is recommended that you drink lots of water, this is very essential to maintain great looking skin and also keeps your skin hydrated and prevent it from drying out.

NYX RETRACTABLE EYELINER IN BLACK

Hi everyone! This is my first blog I'm ever doing so please excuse me if it's not great. I'm still getting the hang of it and I would love your feedback of your experience with these products and your recommendations.

I've been using this eyeliner for a very long time. It has become my HG! It never disappoints me when I wear it. I bought it at the NYX KIOSK at Trincity Mall. I can't recall the exact price of it but it's around $29 TT I think.

PROS:

  • -Glides on smoothly on my waterline doesn't irritate my eyes at all.
  • -It does NOT transfer below my lower lash line making me look like I just got hit in the face.
  • -It's inexpensive.
  • -It's pigmentation lasts throughout the day. I hardly ever see it faded.

CONS:

  • -For me the rich black pigmentation doesn't happen on the first swipe.
  • -It is a little tough to get off, using cleanser doesn't get mines off I have to use face wipes to get it off.

The swatch I did was one swipe and as you can see its very pigmented. Just for me on the eyes I need two swipes. Overall I love this eyeliner it's the best I tried so far, would definitely recommend this eyeliner!
